At the gates of Bordeaux Nord, 10 kilometers from the city center, the Bluegreen Bordeaux-Lac golf course is located in 120 hectares of woods and greenery. It offers two 18-hole courses, La Nouvelle Jalle and Les Nouveaux Etangs. Designed by Jean Bourret and Olivier Dongradi and desired by the former mayor of Bordeaux, Jacques Chaban-Delmas, these two courses are nestled in a flat and wooded environment, once land of groves and fat pastures.
Built in 1978, the Nouvelle Jalle, formerly named La Jalle, is an 18-hole Par 72 of 6015 meters. It is quite flat and includes wide fairways, bordered by large roughs and impressive off-limits. The greens are very rolling. It has no water obstacles, except hole 12, a Par 3, defended by a water feature.
Les Nouveaux Etangs, formerly named Les Etangs, is an 18-hole Par 72 of 6037 meters, built around the 1990s. As the name suggests, it is dotted with water obstacles, especially holes 5 and 14 where the player thinks he sees more water than grass...
A Pitch and Putt Par 9 of 582 meters is dedicated to learning golf as part of the school. It is also open to individual bookings. Round trips are not allowed, the 9-hole course is completed in 1 hour.
The driving range overlooks the lake. It is the largest indoor driving range in the region with 76 boxes on one floor. He has 3 putting-greens, an approach green and a training bunker.
The clubhouse is a spacious and bright building, hosting luxury changing rooms and an important proshop. The Golf Restaurant is open daily from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Next to the Barails Ecological Reserve and its exceptional floral park, the Golf de Bordeaux-Lac is an essential stop near the Médoc route. When good wine goes to golf... When the delight of the taste buds enchants our palates as much as a birdie on a green...
