Saint-Cloud Golf Course, awarded 5 stars by GolfStars, is a private club in absolute tranquility, located in the immediate vicinity of Paris in the municipalities of Garches, Rueil-Malmaison, and Vaucresson. The golf course is open to non-members in August, with a green fee of €120. Take advantage of it as it is one of the clubs to play at least once in a golfer's accomplished life!
Inaugurated in 1913, it comprises two 18-hole courses, including the main course, the "Vert," measuring 5936 meters with a par of 71, which was designed by the first true golf architect, Harry Shapland Colt, and the "Jaune," transformed in 1931 into an 18-hole course measuring 4877 meters with a par of 68.
For the "Vert," the architect utilized the undulating terrain of the site to create a technical layout with varied holes that require careful consideration of the playing strategy. Do not pass holes number 8 and number 9 without taking the time to enjoy the unique and magnificent view of the Eiffel Tower. This superb course hosted the French Open 14 times between 1926 and 1987. It is the historic course of the French Junior Internationals.
The final holes of the "Jaune" course, created on a wooded plain, also offer a beautiful view of Paris. An exceptional golf course that deserves year-round training to stroll along its fairways in the summer for a round.
The Eiffel Tower, which stands in line with the 8th hole of the "Vert" and the 18th hole of the "Jaune," offers a magnificent view of Paris.
